How to Make a Perfect Cup of Filter Coffee

Making and perfecting the art of preparing a cup of filter coffee will make a good start of the day as nothing beats drinking a perfect cup of coffee in the mornings.

So how to prepare a cup of perfect filter coffee?
As mentioned in the earlier blogs, selecting the right coffee powder is the first step in making good filter coffee.
Use our Kumbakonam Filter Coffee powder to get a strong potent extract (The extract is made from dark roasted coffee beans in the proportion of (70%-80%) and chicory (20%-30%). The coffee beans are roasted at an optimum temperature and then ground to obtain the filter coffee powder. The commonly used coffee beans Arabica and Robusta, are grown in the hills of Tamil Nadu (Nilgiris District), Karnataka (Kodagu District), and Kerala (Malabar region).
The second step in the coffee preparation is the brew. The brew is prepared using a special type of vessel made of brass or steel called the coffee filter. This device consists of two compartments, the coffee powder is filled in the upper cup and hot water is poured into it. To increase the pressure a compressor stem is used, this stem slows the speed of water percolation. The percolating extract is collected in the lower cup.
This strong mixture of coffee decoction is poured in a cup of milk that is boiled to the optimum temperature to make the perfect South Indian filter coffee. This coffee is then poured in a brass dabara set and served.
