From when coffee was introduced in the southern part of India it has held a special place in our households as our daily beverage. People who drink filter coffee are really crazy about the taste and strength.
This kind of craziness is not exclusive to our country alone. People all over the world love this beverage but if you ask the preference of our people in coffee they are always inclined towards our own South Indian filter coffee.
So what’s so special about this filter coffee and why does it taste so good?
The special taste of the coffee is both due to its brew and the quality of milk used. The brew is prepared using a special type of vessel made of brass or steel called the coffee filter. This device consists of two compartments, the coffee powder is filled in the upper cup and hot water is poured into it. To increase the pressure a compressor stem is used, this stem slows the speed of water percolation. The percolating extract is collected in the lower cup.
This strong mixture is poured in a cup of milk that is boiled to the optimum temperature to make the perfect South Indian filter coffee.
